Our toaster went belly up and I learned we could get a cheap toaster oven for about the same amount of bucks.
What an awesome idea! I never thought about this before...an easy way to warm up something without that microwave texture, and not warm up the whole house, and use a lot less electricity. Plus I could make a small portion of something (like a dessert) and just have enough for the two of us and not all those crazy leftovers that I really shouldn't eat anyway.
So I made Toaster Oven Apple Crisp. I used light margarine, a white/wheat flour blend, and cane juice sugar.
Nice to be able to control the ingredients and portion size, and my hubs liked it too. I made it in the little teeny round cake pans that you can buy around here at Target or K-Roger.
